Telehealth (Teletherapy) is therapy through video conferencing. I use a high-quality, secure and private telehealth platform to conduct sessions. All that is needed on your end is a good internet connection, a computer with a camera and microphone, and your presence.
Due to nature of the therapy I provide and the intensity of sessions, it is important to understand that teletherapy should not be viewed as an equivalent stand-in for in-person sessions. This is particularly true during the first couple of sessions when establishing a therapeutic rapport is essential. In addition, it is important to note that teletherapy may not be well suited for certain conditions and problem areas.
Nevertheless, I provide teletherapy to those with COVID-19 concerns and other extenuating circumstances. For the safety of my clients and the desire to provide the best care possible, the appropriateness of teletherapy will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
If you are interested in teletherapy or think it may be right for you, please feel free to contact my office. I would be more than happy to have a 15-minute phone consultation.
