Jack N. Tawil, MSW, LCSW-C
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and a Psychotherapist in private practice in Annapolis, Maryland (MD license # 13725).
I earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1991. I hold a Master of Social Work Degree from Catholic University in Washington D.C. and a Master of Science Degree from Central Washington University in Washington State.
I continue to receive advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy from the Washington School of Psychiatry in Washington, D.C., one of the oldest and most respected psychotherapy training institutes in the country.
In addition to private practice, I have worked in community mental health centers in the Washington-Baltimore region. I have been privileged to work with individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds, life issues and clinical conditions. These include but not limited to: depression and other mood disorders; anxiety disorders and PTSD; sexual abuse and trauma; grief and loss; relationship difficulties; spiritual /existential issues; and challenges in life transition and change.
I take great fulfillment in helping others find relief from emotional pain in order to live with more satisfaction and peace of mind. Stressful events are an inevitable aspect of our lives; nonetheless, I believe we all possess the ability to look at ourselves more deeply to guide our own response.
